Anyone who has used that comforting phrase "a nice cup of tea" invariably means Indian tea. ~George Orwell

GOPALDHARA WHITE NORBU

$18.00

Limited amounts of this extremely rare white tea are produced year round at the gardens of Gopaldhara, Avongrove and Rohini. The gardens’ tea crafting techniques are a guarded secret yet insight into their unparalleled choreography of tea making unfolds in the story of silver tea.

Darjeeling Silver tea is grown from the most pampered bushes in the gardens; tea bushes which are monitored for ecological balance and nutrition. If, and only if, weather conditions are favorable, a mere 100 grams of leaves a day are picked only by the most experienced tea pluckers whose delicate precision is unrivalled. The leaves are then transported solely by foot since any jarring by motorized transport would destroy the silver leaf.

The result is a delightful alchemy of flavors with a distinctive echo of classic Darjeeling muscatel notes. A tea transformed by lightning; a taste of tea leaves fresh with mist after a high mountain rain.
